Tokyo Trip: A Promising Beginning
Founded in 2013 by Nicolas Wauters, a Belgian from Brussels who moved to Japan to join his wife, Tokyo Trip was born from a deep love for Japan and a passion for travel and has lasted for the past 11 years.
The journey of Tokyo Trip started at a key moment: the year Japan was chosen as the host country for the 2020 Olympic Games. This event marked a spectacular rise in tourism across the archipelago, providing our company with the opportunity to grow and establish itself as a trusted player in organizing unforgettable trips.
11 Years of Discovery and Expertise
Since our inception, our team has traveled every corner of Japan—from the snowy island of Hokkaido in the north to the beaches of Kyushu in the south, not to mention the country's highest peak, the legendary Mount Fuji, and the serene city of Kyoto. Each journey has enriched our expertise and deepened our knowledge of Japan’s cultural, natural, and human wonders.
This continuous quest for learning has allowed us to offer unique experiences to travelers from Europe, America, Asia, and beyond. Co-producing a documentary highlighting lesser-known aspects of Japan.
Assisting Belgian television teams during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (held in 2021), a historic moment for the country.
Publishing a book on Japan, sharing our favorite places and memorable anecdotes.
