The 5 Most Beautiful Locations in Tokyo in Autumn

Tokyo comes at the top of the list if you're looking for a beautiful and cultural destination to spend your holiday in. Famous for its boisterous nightlife, delectable cuisine, clean shrines, and elegant colors, Tokyo provides a sensory overload for tourists.

But amid the overall magnificence, there are certain places in Tokyo that are absolutely photogenic -- scenic locations you don't want to miss if you're up for some great photography.

To help you get the most out of your vacation, here are the 5 most beautiful locations in Tokyo.

There's one notable thing people often say about Todai University. "Once you walk into the campus, you won't even know you're still in Tokyo." The paths sheltered by giant trees of the most stunning colors make it a fantastic universe of its own.

You'll immediately be triggered to bring out your camera and fire away. Don't hesitate. Also known as the University of Tokyo, this is undoubtedly one of the must-see sights in this Japanese capital city.

You'll also find some historical relics on campus, such as the famous Red Gate and the beautiful Sanshiro Pond. The breathtaking structural designs of the faculties, libraries, and gardens are worthy of every camera lens. Indeed, this most prestigious university in Japan gets you dreamy.

Tokyo is filled with several awe-inspiring parks, but if you want a more chilled and serene atmosphere, the Inokashira Park makes just the perfect spot. It sits in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Tokyo, the Kichijoji area, where you get to see a plethora of elegant and modern stores lined up.

The Inokashira [Onshi] Park is one of the largest parks and most beautiful locations in Tokyo. You'll find a vast space containing a zoo and pond, among other interesting sights.

Yoyogi is one of the largest parks in Tokyo and one of the most alluring as well. It's also a popular place for a picnic, cherry blossom, sports, and nature photography. There is a green reflective pond and thick vegetation around, perfect for a great shot, especially in autumn.

Being in the heart of Tokyo, Yoyogi Park is very easy to reach from most of the city's tourist attractions. It’s also close to the most famous shrine in Tokyo, the Meiji Shrine.

Tourists and locals alike often visit just to relax, watch the birds, or take pictures of nature.

Mount Takao is famous for its richness in natural beauty and its nearness to the city center. On getting to the mount, you get to see several wild animals and birds, including the Japanese flying squirrel and the raccoon dog.

The mountain attracts over 2.6 million climbers yearly, the largest number in the world. Every climber wants to be here, and every tourist with a fondness for nature wouldn't miss the scenery for the world.

In 2007, the Michelin Guide, which awards restaurants for excellence, rated Mt. Takao 3 stars as a sightseeing destination, the highest rating that can be given.

Near quiet Komagome station is one of Tokyo's Edo-period parks, the Rikugien Park. Rigugien is famous for its lovely cherry blossom trees and autumn leaves. So if you're going to Japan during spring or fall, try not to miss this beauteous spot right in the middle of Tokyo.

Although the park isn't big, it is beauty at its peak.

Enjoy nature in one of Tokyo's most iconic spots.
