PHOTOGRAPHY JOURNEYS
Explore Japan beyond Tokyo through immersive small-group adventures designed around the country's most beautiful seasons.
More than photography workshops, these journeys invite you to experience Japan at a slower pace through two of its most spectacular seasons. Each itinerary explores a unique region of the country: the snowy landscapes of Hokkaido and northern Japan in winter, or the timeless temples, vibrant forests and cultural treasures of Kyoto and western Japan in autumn.
Limited to just 3 to 6 participants and held once a year, each journey is led by photographers Nicolas Wauters and Joëffrey Sohy (Horizon Photo).
Together, we combine photographic guidance, local insight and cultural discovery to create an immersive experience where travel, photography and meaningful moments come together.

Winter Light
A 10 day photographic journey through Tokyo, Mount Fuji and the snowy landscapes of Hokkaido.

A 10 to 12-day photographic journey from Tokyo to Kyoto and western Japan, following Japan's most spectacular autumn colours.

For more than thirteen years, Japan has been both my home and my daily source of inspiration. As a professional photographer and founder of Tokyo Trip, I've had the privilege of guiding thousands of travellers through places that most visitors never discover.
Whether you're looking for a private photography day in Tokyo or an immersive ten-day journey across Japan, every experience is designed to combine photography, local culture and genuine discovery. Rather than rushing from one famous landmark to another, we take the time to observe, understand and create meaningful images while experiencing the country at a slower pace.
Workshops are available in French and English. While French is my native language, I also regularly guide international visitors in English. My English may not be perfect, but it is more than sufficient to comfortably share the experience, exchange ideas and provide photographic guidance throughout the journey.
