Winterscapes
One of Japan's greatest strengths lies in its extraordinary diversity of landscapes and climates. From subtropical coastlines to the frozen plains of Hokkaido, each region reveals a different face of the country throughout the seasons.
Winter has become one of my favorite times to photograph Japan. The snow softens the landscape, simplifies each composition and creates a sense of silence that is both peaceful and timeless. This gallery is a celebration of those fleeting winter moments.
